Music: Drunk Texting - Chris Brown featuring Jhene Aiko

I've been waiting for this to happen. I was hoping that Chris Brown and Jhene Aiko would make a song together. I thought that their vocals would compliment each other and they did. I heard this song last night while surfing on Youtube and I secretly got way more excited than I should have when I heard it. The song entitled "Drunk Texting" is about a person who gets caught up in all of their feelings that they have towards the person that they are in love with, but aren't with. The person ends up drinking a bit too much and gets the courage to tell the person how they feel even though they are somewhat terrified of what the response to the text will be. Will the person reply or simply ignore it?

I don't drink, but this song is very relateable. We all have had a person that we were really into and as time went on we either remained friends, ended up in a break up, or maybe they didn't even know that we existed at all. This song can relate to all of those situations where you gain the "liquid courage" to tell someone how you really feel and you simply hope for the best even though your feelings could be destroyed upon waking up the next day.

I think that Jhene Aiko really helped the song flow a bit more smoothly. Also having both male and female sing in unison showed that this is a situation happening with both genders. I'm kind of hoping that they will eventually make a music video for it.

Anyway, give it a listen. Some of you may like it and some of you may not...

Tell me what you guys think about the song.

"Drunk Texting" is on Chris Brown's 2014 album "X" which was released on September 16, 2014. It is Chris Brown's sixth studio album.
